VOLONTAPAINT was the first Italian company in the wood coatings sector to attain Quality certification in 1998. Over the years, VOLONTAPAINT has increasingly strengthened its commitment to quality, environment and safety by obtaining Environmental Management System Certification in 2006 and Safety Management System Certification in 2012.
In 2018 the evolution of management system standards led VOLONTAPAINT to comply with the new rules, whose fundamental element is a “risk-based” approach that is expressed through risk identification, qualification and management. This is a change towards a system that is no longer limited to controlling and guaranteeing, but that is able to anticipate risks and on which the company can rely to effectively adapt to the surrounding environment and the market.
QUALITY SYSTEM
VOLONTAPAINT operates in accordance with the Environmental Management System compliant with UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standard. This certification covers both the headquarters and the Italian branches.
With this certification we want to highlight our commitment to the environment, which is expressed through the correct management of all the activities that can have a significant impact on the environment and through the development of products with low environmental impact.
SAFETY SYSTEM
VOLONTAPAINT operates in accordance with the Safety Management System compliant with UNI ISO 45001:2018 standard. This certification covers both the headquarters and the Italian branches.
UNI ISO 45001:2018 certification is a guarantee of VOLONTAPAINT’s constant commitment in safeguarding health and safety at work, expressed through the maintenance of legislative compliance and applicable OHS regulation and the continuous improvement of health and safety performance.

MODEL 231
The Italian Legislative Decree no. 231 dated 8 June, 2001 introduced the rules governing the administrative liability of companies (Regulation on the administrative liability of legal entities, companies and associations, including those not having legal personality, pursuant to article 11 of Law no. 300 of 29 September 2000).
According to this regulation, companies can be held liable and subject to financial penalties for certain crimes committed or attempted in the interest or for the benefit of the company itself by their directors, associates or employees.
In addition, companies can adopt organizational, management and control models suitable to prevent such crimes (“Model”). These models can be adopted based on the codes of conduct (guidelines) drafted by trade/business associations.
This is the path taken by VOLONTAPAINT SpA: our company shall not be held liable if it demonstrates that its organizational, management and control model (Model 231), adopted on 03/12/2012 following a Board of Directors’ resolution, is considered suitable to prevent the criminal offenses considered.
